Lower Eyelid Rejuvenation
Eye bag correction to restore a smoother, more refreshed under-eye appearance
Surgical Perspective
Changes in the lower eyelid can affect the way the face appears rested, even when the patient feels well.
Eye bags, hollowness, and shadowing beneath the eyes may create an impression of fatigue, heaviness, or aging. In many cases, the concern is not the eyes alone, but the transition between the lower eyelid and the cheek.
For this reason, lower eyelid rejuvenation is approached not as simple fat removal, but as a careful restoration of contour. The aim is to create a smoother, more refreshed under-eye appearance while preserving natural expression.
Surgical Approach
Each case is planned individually.
Assessment includes skin quality, fat prominence, lower eyelid tone, the position of the lid-cheek junction, and the balance between the lower eyelid and midface. Depending on the findings, treatment may involve transconjunctival fat removal, fat repositioning, skin redraping, or selected adjunctive procedures.
The goal is not simply to remove volume, but to restore a more natural transition between the lower eyelid and the cheek without creating a hollow or operated appearance.
